Board moves forward with operating referendum, possible lawsuit
The Funding Formula passed in the special session of the legislature was a better one for HSE than some that had been proposed, but it still leaves the district with budget challenges. “We are grateful for the supportive efforts of teachers, staff, parents, community members as well as the legislators representing our area,” said Dr. Brian Smith, new superintendent of schools. “Without them the results could have been far worse.”
