AP US History meeting (First announced on May 20th, 2013)
There will be a meeting for all students enrolled in AP US History for next year. Please attend on Thursday, May 23, at 3pm or Friday, May 24 at 7am. Both meetings will be in the Lecture Hall. See Mr. Steckler in room A307 if you cannot attend.

Females exploring technoloy summer camps (First announced on April 25th, 2013)
Undecided about what you want to do after high school? Vincennes University is offering a Summer Camp focusing on challenging high school females to think outside the box by introducing them to traditionally male-oriented fields of work in technology with hands-on workshops and field trips. This summer exploration is free and is offered 2 times in June. To find out more information stop by Guidance for an informational flier.

FFA Summer Plans (First announced on May 16th, 2013)
FFA members: see Mr Younts or Mr Bailey for permission and registration forms for Summer Challenge, State Convention, and State Fair. These forms are due before the end of the school year. Prepare for a hot FFA Summer.

Final Exam Exemptions for Seniors (First announced on May 20th, 2013)
Exemption forms for senior final exam exemptions will be available in the front office starting Monday, May 20th. The eligibility list for exemptions will only be available on the school Intranet for staff viewing so you MUST see the Attendance secretaries or a teacher to verify your eligibility to exempt. Completed forms will be due to the front office at 3:00pm on Thursday, May 23rd, no exceptions.

Indiana Private College Week 2013 (First announced on May 21st, 2013)

SAT Preparation (First announced on May 9th, 2013)
Are you trying to prepare for the upcoming SAT or ACT? Did you know that there is a free preparation program that all HSE students have access to? Just get your Naviance account number through guidance, log on and go to the PREP ME tab. There is no cost and the program puts together a guided course for the timeline that you are working with.

Student Survey (First announced on May 21st, 2013)
Students - please take some time to complete an anonymous Student Feedback Survey for 2012-13 in the Voting course on the Lessons Tab. We really want to hear from you! This survey will allow you to provide feedback on your coursework and your overall feelings about the school. The survey will be open until June 10, 2013. The survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. Thank you!

Boys basketball (First announced on May 22nd, 2013)
Boys basketball players need to make sure they have a physical on file dated after April 1st before summer starts. Players who have not picked up an updated summer calendar, do the following: Upperclassmen stop by Coach Satterfield's room, C101. Freshmen see a coach in the weight room after school or send Coach Satterfield an e-mail requesting a copy.

Boys Track Banquet (First announced on May 22nd, 2013)
A reminder to all boys track team members: the team banquet is tonight in the cafeteria at 6:00 p.m.

Girls Track wins Regional (First announced on May 22nd, 2013)
The 3rd ranked Lady Royals Track team won the West Lafayette Regional last night with 110 points over Noblesville in 2nd with 73 and Carmel in 3rd with 72. All the following athletes placed in the top 3 which qualifies them for state at IU on June 1. The 400 relay team of Kayla Seymour, Brittany Goggans, Katherine Goens, and Hannah Allaben ran under 48 seconds for the first time in school history as they broke the regional and school record in their victory. Goggans also set a regional record with her win in the 200. Seymour won the 100 and finished 2nd in the 200 and Goens won the long jump. Breanna Hargrove placed 3rd in the 400, Rachel Nichwitz was 2nd in the 1600, and Addy Calhoun was 3rd in the pole vault. The 3200 relay team of Emily Wagoner, Sam Zuber, Jessica King, and Nichwitz placed 3rd as did the 1600 relay team of Ashley Mager, Erica Schmok, Hargrove, and Goggans.

Lady Royals Varsity Softball Wins Round 1 of Setionals Beating #9 Ranked Noblesville (First announced on May 21st, 2013)
The Lady Royals Varsity Softball beat # 9 ranked Noblesville in the first round of Sectional 8 play 3 to 2. The lady Royals used the long ball to beat Noblesville. The big hitter for the game was Maggie Armstrong who was 3 for 3 with two Home-Runs. Alyssa Buchanan added a Home-run of her own. Jenn Hussey was 2 for 3 for the night. Alyssa Buchanan pitched a complete game only giving up 4 hits. The Lady Royals are in second round action on Wednesday, May 22nd as they play at approximately 7:30 pm.

The Film Club will be holding their annual trivia contest in Mr. Follis' room after school on Wednesday, May 22nd.

German Club Meeting this Thursday (First announced on May 22nd, 2013)
German club members: your last meeting will be this Thursday in the Royal Den. They'll have Pizza, watch out club video, and announce our officers for next year. Please sign up if you are coming. Don't forget to vote in Frau Mathews room A506 Voting is open through our last Club meeting this Thursday. See you there.

Thespian elections (First announced on May 20th, 2013)
Thespians: Any thespian wanting to run for an office for next year, needs to sign up with Miss Armstrong by Wednesday. There will be a thespian meeting this Thursday at 7:00am to elect officers.

Library Books Past Due (First announced on May 22nd, 2013)
Library Books are now past due! Please return them ASAP and pay any late fines on your account. Students with outstanding books and fines will be turned in to the Deans by the end of the week.

Medications in Clinic (First announced on May 20th, 2013)
Students if you have medications in the clinic don't forget to stop by and pick up your medication before the end of the day on May 3o th or the medication will be waisted. Remember you are not allowed to carry a medication with you so it does need to be picked up at the end of the day. Thanks so much Have a great summer!
