AP Exam Registration

Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Registration will be open from February 1st through February 28th. Students must register by February 28th at 2:55pm to take AP exams in May. Applications for AOF

Beyond Me HSE Call Out Meeting

Hey students! Come experience what it’s like to make a difference with the Beyond Me HSE Club! On Monday February 26th, we’ll be meeting in the morning at Cafe D at 7:00am to share our impact and ways you can get involved. This is our call out meeting for students interested in taking action to help Haiti. We’ll have donuts available for you! If you can’t make it to the morning meeting, come have pizza with us after school in Cafe D at 2:45pm. Live beyond you and initiate positive change in your world! FBI Youth Leadership Academy

The FBI's Youth Leadership Academy is designed to promote an educational experience that will provide students with valuable leadership training and a greater understanding of the FBI. Through experiential learning activities, students will develop skills in communication, trust, team work, goal setting and leadership. This program is July 11-13, 2018. For more information, please come to the guidance office. Applications are due April 1, 2018.

Fishers Parks & Recreation

IUPUI School of Informatics & Computing

Registration for the 2018 Summer Workshops at the IU School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI is now available. These workshops will give you hands-on experience in learning how informatics and computing are shaping our world through innovation in mobile and web applications, interactive media and digital games, and health and medical research. Jim Holland Summer Science Programs at IU

New Summer 2018 Purdue Classes

Senior Future Plans Survey

Seniors: when you have made your absolute FINAL decision regarding your post-high school plans, whether it is college, a vocation, or the military, HSE would like to recognize it. There will be a pennant on display in the CCA foyer celebrating your decision. The deadline to complete the Senior Future Plans Survey on Canvas is May 4th.

The Summer Science Program

First announced on 2/15/2018

SSP is an immersion into experimental science, designed to challenge and inspire talented rising seniors from around the world. Working in teams of three, participants complete a research project from beginning to end: either in Astrophysics near-earth asteroid imaging and orbit determination or (new in 2017) Biochemistry (Purdue) fungal enzyme inhibition and drug discovery. Each team acquires its own original data and performs its own analysis. Field trips and guest speakers round out an intense 39-day schedule. Uniform Application for Community Application

The Uniform Application For Community Scholarships (UACS) gives seniors access to 33 local scholarships thru a single application. These scholarships are offered exclusively to HSEHS & FHS students. Students apply by completing one online application. The UACS is available online on the HSEHS and HSE Foundation websites.

United States Naval Academy Summer STEM Program

US Naval Academy Summer Seminar

Hoops for Haiti 3-on-3 Basketball Fundraiser

HSE Staff, students, and administration! Are you ready to hoop? On Tuesday, March 27th at 6pm, Beyond Me HSE Initiative Club is hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament as a fundraiser to help develop a school to provide entrepreneurial training in Haiti. Hoops for Haiti will take place here at HSE. It is open to anyone who loves playing or watching basketball. For the very competitive teams, we have a pro bracket and for those who play for fun, we have a semi-pro bracket. There are lots of prizes. It’s only $5 to play. You can fill out a bracket and win a prize for having the best bracket. Come cheer on your favorite team!

Video Game Club

Calling all FIFA players! Gaming Club will be hosting a FIFA tournament on Friday, February 23rd. The cost to play is $3 and awards will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Sign ups will be at lunch from Tuesday, February 20th to Thursday, February 22nd and pizza will be provided. Come out to enjoy the beautiful game in a whole new way! City of Fishers #LoveFishers Essay Contest

International Night Auditions

Proud to be a Royal! Proud of your cultural heritage! Plan now to participate in International Night 2018! Auditions for the performance portion of International Night will be Thursday, March 1st in the LGI at 3:15. Share your traditional music, song, dance or other cultural talent! You can also sponsor a cultural booth with food and artifacts to showcase your cultural heritage. See Mrs. Lazaga for more information in A112.

Purdue Think Summer

Sophomores and juniors who are at least 16 years old are eligible to earn credits at Purdue during the 2018 summer. For 2018, students may commute to campus or complete online coursework. Courses from Purdue can be transferred to other institutions. There is a $60 application fee and selection is competitive. Barney Hobbs Memorial Horticulture Scholarship

The Barney Hobbs Memorial Horticulture Scholarship is now available for five $3000 scholarships that will be awarded to high school seniors or undergraduate college students who are residents of Hamilton County or the child /grandchild of a HCMGA member and intend to major or currently majoring in horticulture or a related subject such as botany or landscape architecture/design. Application must be received in the Hamilton County Extension Office by the due date. Guidance Office has applications or you can download an application at www.hcmga.org

Carmel American Legion

Scholarships available to qualified seniors graduating from a Hamilton County high school. Focus will be on relatives of Legion Post #155 members, JROTC participants and handicapped students. If no applicants meet these criteria the scholarships will still be awarded. Therefore, if you meet the academic and post secondary requirements, you are encouraged to apply. Information in the Guidance Office.

Carrie Colglazier Memorial Scholarship

The $12,000, four-year scholarship is funded by an endowment through the HSE Schools Foundation and by the Carrie Colglazier Community Service Workday. Criteria for the scholarship are as follows: -Must participate in Girl’s Soccer, Girl’s Track, FFA, or National Honor Society -Must have worked the work day -School activities -Academic Achievement -Community Service -Leadership roles Eligible Students must submit a paper application to the Guidance Office.

Ceres Solutions Scholarship

Ceres Solutions is looking to offer ten one thousand dollar scholarships to high school seniors who have been involved in four years of 4-H or 2 years in your local FFA program. Application and eligibility requirements can be downloaded at www.ceres.coop. March 1, 2018 is the deadline.

Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Program

The Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Program was developed for young ladies who are juniors and seniors in high school in order to equip, encourage and stimulate them to pursue higher education, academic excellence, personal development and civic involvement. The program focuses on the needs of minority and under-served young ladies. Each young lady who participates will also earn and receive a scholarship toward higher education. The program objectives are achieved through a six-month curriculum consisting of educational workshops, activities, community service outings and rehearsals. The culminating event of the program is the Debutante Cotillion and Scholarship Ball in which the young ladies are formally presented to society and the Indianapolis community as well as awarded scholarships. Frances E. Mazar College Scholarship

The scholarship is open to high school seniors planning to attend an accredited university or college in Indiana as a full-time student. Candidate must demonstrate: 1.) character; 2.) leadership; 3.) scholastic achievement; 4.) financial need. Men and women of any religious affiliation may apply. Applications are in the Guidance Office.

Hamilton County Federated Republican Women

The Scholarship amount is $500 and two scholarships will be given this year. The Scholarship is open to male and female seniors with plans to attend a college or university in the fall. The scholarship selection committee will give consideration to all applicants, but are especially looking for students that have in some form displayed an interested in the political/legislative process. Jewish Student College Scholarship

The Jewish Student Scholarship is open to Jewish high-school seniors attending an accredited university or college as a full-time student. Candidate must demonstrate: 1.) strong commitment toward Jewish identity; 2.) character; 3.) leadership; 4.) scholastic achievement; 5.) financial need. Applications are in the Guidance Office.

Mary Fink Merit Scholarship

The Mary Fink Merit Scholarship is open to Jewish high-school seniors planning to attend an accredited university or college as a full-time student. Candidate must exhibit: 1.) strong commitment to Jewish values through civic involvement; 2.) activities and commitment in both the general and Jewish communities; 3.) character, leadership and scholastic achievement. Applications can be found in the Guidance Office.

New American College Scholarship

This scholarship is open to individuals who have arrived in the United States within the last four years and are high-school seniors planning to attend an accredited university or college in Indiana as a full or part time student. Candidates must demonstrate: 1.) character; 2.) financial need; 3.) scholastic achievement. Men and women of any religious affiliation may apply. Applications are in the Guidance Office.

NineStar 2018 Scholarship

NineStar 2018 Scholarship: In order for a student to be eligible for selection of the award, each of the following criteria must be met: 1.) As of February 1, 2018 the student's principal residence must be with said student's parent or legal guardian who is a member of NinceStar Connect or a customer of Nine Star Communicaitons in good standing. 2.) student must be a 2017/2018 school year graduating high school student. 3.) University of Wisconsin-Madison Scholarship

If you are a Central Indiana High School Senior and have an interest in attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall of 2018, we encourage you to apply for our scholarship. The scholarship has a base value of $5000. Applications are available on-line at chapters.uwalumni.com. The deadline is March 31, 2018

Watercolor Society of Indiana

The Watercolor Society of Indiana is awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a high school senior planning to pursue a degree in either fine arts or arts education from a college, university or school of design & who will graduate from an Indiana high school before July 1 of the year in which the scholarship will be awarded. Completed application along with portfolio, artist's statement, letter of recommendation and transcript must be sent to the Watercolor Society of Indiana by the deadline of March 1, 2018.
