AP World History Mandatory Meetings (First announced on May 16th, 2012)
All students signed up for AP World History at the High School next year have a mandatory informational meeting Wednesday, May 23rd. For students attending FHS - you will be meeting in the library during BEST period on that day. Your teachers will have a list of students so please sign out as soon as the bell rings for BEST. For students attending HSHS - you will be meeting from 6-7 in the evening at the Hamilton Southeastern High School cafeteria. You will receive a letter this week from your social studies teacher giving more details about this meeting and who to contact if you cannot attend.

FHS basketball (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
There will be a call-out meeting On Wednesday, May 23rd during BEST for all 7th and 8th graders who will be attending Fishers High School and are interested in basketball. Coach Leonard will be here with important camp and summer information for basketball.

Fitness Council Mandatory Meeting Thursday (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
All fitness council members need to meet in the aux gym Thursday for the last meeting of the year! This is a mandatory meeting to prepare for the health and fitness fair on the last day of school.

FJH Dance Company DVD's for sale (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
Order forms for the FJH Dance Company video are available in the library. The cost for the DVD is $10. See Mrs. Ax

NJHS Meeting (First announced on May 16th, 2012)
There will be a meeting for all 7th grade NJHS students during BEST on Tuesday, May 22 in the cafeteria. It is important that all 7th grade members attend.

Track Uniform Turn In Award Pick Up (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
All track athletes should meet in the LGI Wednesday during BEST to turn in any uniforms & locks and receive awards and ribbons from county. Any athlete who does not turn in their uniform by Wednesday will be charged for the cost of a replacement uniform.

8th grade HEROES - We need your help with HOUSE POINTS! (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The Heroes team is close to winning the first ever Chargers Tri-House tournament between the teams, and it is going to come down to 8th grade help.
If you have any POPTABS, BOXTOPS or SMASHED CANS that you can bring in, then please do so by Wednesday morning so we can count your points for our team. You will help make the difference in our winning this year.

All library books are now overdue. Please return all library materials to the media center.

Appearance/Dress (First announced on May 17th, 2012)
Students, please take the time to review appearance/dress expectations found on page 9 of the student handbook. Clothing is to meet expectations at all times. This includes clothing which is altered in a manner that does not meet expectations, such as rolling the waist band of shorts to “shorten” them. Let's finish the year strong…making good choices.

Breakfast ends Friday (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The last day the FJH cafe will be serving breakfast is this Friday, May 25th. There will be no breakfast served next week.

Charging on to High School (First announced on May 18th, 2012)
8th grade students will spend their final FJH lunch period talking, laughing, playing, and just enjoying the company of their 8th grade classmates out at the FJH football field and track on Wednesday, May 30th. 8th graders will have the option to either bring a sack lunch from home or order a sack lunch prepared by our wonderful café staff. Hot lunches will not be available for 8th graders on Wednesday, May 30th. Please plan ahead and stay tuned for future announcements…

Don't Forget DC (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
7th graders... don't forget to take advantage of the discounts offered for registering for next year's Washington DC 8th grade trip by June 1st! You should have received an information packet from your social studies teacher so get your registration and deposit mailed in today!

FJH Spirit Wear (First announced on May 18th, 2012)
The Triangle Club will be selling FJH t-shirts on Wednesday, May 23rd and Thursday, May 24th during all lunch times. There are several brand new designs and lots of colors to choose from! Pictures are posted right outside the main office. All t-shirts will be $10 which you can pay for with cash or a check made out to FJH Triangle Club!

FJH Student Handbook Highlight (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
• Shorts, skirts and dresses, including the peak of a slit on a slit skirt, exceeding 5 inches above the kneecap are considered too short. This 5 inch rule will be enforced even if worn with a full length under garment (leggings, etc.). • Pants or shorts worn more than 2 inches below the navel will not be allowed. • Oversized pants and pant legs that extend over the heel of the shoes will not be permitted.

The Bookstore is Closed (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The bookstore is now closed for the rest of the school year. You may use the machine located outside the library to purchase smaller items.

Yearbooks! (First announced on May 15th, 2012)
Yearbooks will be distributed to students at the annual Yearbook Dance on Tuesday, May 29th or at school on Wednesday, May 30th. Not sure if you ordered one? Check the list in the library. Still want to order one? A limited number of yearbooks from this year and last year are available at a cost of $40. See Mrs. Ax in the library for an order form. First come, first served!
