Megan Houterloot is the FHS Star of the Week for the first week of February 2012. Megan showed a lot of courage, foresight, and maturity in dealing with a very tough situation. She continues to be working extremely hard in workouts, and is starting to see some of that hard work paying off. Congratulations!!

Junior Mikayla Howell has been named the Volleyball Star of the Week for the final week of January. Mikayla worked very hard this week to find summer camps that our team can participate in this pre-season, and has stepped up her effort in APC class. Congratulations to her for her great work.

Congratulations to Lauren Smith, the winner of the Star of the Week award for the third week of January. Lauren has come into this off-season with a ton of fire. She has shown great intensity in her APC class, and has been in weekly communication with the coaching staff regarding ideas for next season. Keep up the good work.

The FHS Volleyball Star of the Week is a new award that will be given out each week throughout the off-season. The title is awarded to the one student athlete who is going above and beyond during our off-season work outs to not only better herself, but also help others in their progression as athletes. This athlete shows what it truly means to be a leader by example to our volleyball program.
