The pay for substitute teachers is $65 per day. To apply for a substitute teaching position, the following steps must be followed:

Step 1

Download, print and complete the First Advantage Background Check form listed above. A check or money order for $30.00 made out to Hamilton Southeastern Schools should accompany this form.

Please drop off or mail the background check and a check for $30 to:

Step 2

Apply on AppliTrack! - You must have a completed application on file before you are interviewed.  E-mail addresses are REQUIRED on references on application.

Step 3

We will contact you upon a favorable background check to schedule an appointment for you to interview with Human Resources. At the time of your scheduled appointment, please bring the following:

  • Transcripts (for at least 30 college credit hours) OR a valid State of Indiana Teacher's License
  • Either
    • Passport, or
    •  Driver’s License, and Social Security Card or Birth Certificate
  • Copy of a current State of Indiana Teacher's License or State of Indiana Substitute Teacher's Permit
  • Immunization Records
  • Voided check to attach to direct deposit
AFTER YOUR INTERVIEW

If you do not have a current Indiana teacher's license or substitute teacher's permit, you can apply online for a permit with the Indiana Department of Education AFTER YOUR INTERVIEW ONLY at http://www.doe.in.gov/student-services/licensing

Step 4

Upon completion of Steps 1, 2 and 3, we will send your employment forms to you electronically via email.
