Anderson University Summer Camp (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The Anderson University 2012 Summer Camp scheduled for July 17, 18 and 19th is aimed at high school juniors/seniors who are planning to pursue a college degree, but don't yet know what career is right for them. Through the camp, students will discover how their interests, personalities, and values translate into career options. They can then find which colleges and universities provide the best courses of study to reach their career goals. For more information, please stop by the Guidance Office.

AP European History meeting (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
This ia reminder to all students who are signed up to take AP European History next year. There is a mandatory meeting that all students must attend. The meetings are on Tues., May 22nd after school in Mr. Follis' room A333 orthe next morning wed. May the 23rd at 6:50 in A333.

AP World History meeting (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
This is a reminder to all students who are signed up to take AP World History next year: there is a mandatory meeting that all students must attend. The meetings are on Wed., May 23rd, at 7:00 p.m. in the evening in the Lecture Hall or the next morning May the 24th at 6:30 a.m. in the Lecture Hall.

Award Pick-up (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
Students! Any student who was notified that they received an award but did not attend the underclassmen awards ceremony or the senior awards ceremony, must stop by Guidance as soon as possible to pick up their award.

Miss Circle City Classic Coronation (First announced on May 7th, 2012)
The Miss Circle City Classic Coronation is one of the many events leading up to the annual Circle City Classic Football Game. This event recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding young women in the African American community. To participate, you must be a senior with at least a "C". Keep in mind, the Coronation is not a beauty contest!! For additional application requirements, stop by Guidance. Application deadline is June 4th.

Perfect Attendance Breakfast (First announced on May 17th, 2012)
The Deans' Office will be recognizing all students who have achieved perfect attendance at this year's annual breakfast on Tuesday, May 22 at 7:00 a.m. in the A section of the cafeteria. Invitations will be delivered on Thursday to students who have attained perfect attendance this school year and in prior consecutive years at HSE. We look forward to celebrating this significant achievement with our honorees.

Senior Exam Exemptions (First announced on May 16th, 2012)
Attention Seniors!!! Are you eligible to exempt any of your final exams??? If so, Exemption forms will be available in the Main Office, beginning Wednesday, May 16th. The forms are due to the main office by Tuesday, May 22nd at 3:45PM. If you have any questions regarding your exemption status, please ask your teacher or stop at the attendance office!

Boys Golf Wins Hamilton County Tourney (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The #13-ranked varsity boys golf team won the Hamilton County Championship Tournament on Saturday at Wood Wind Golf Club with a team score of 304--the best score yet for the team. Sophomore Graham McAree was the individual medalist firing 73, followed by Johnny Watts with 76, Jake Jones with 77, and Tyler Davis with 78. The team takes part in the Lafayette Jeff Invite this Saturday at Battle Ground Golf Club.

Boys Track Wins Sectional (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The men’s track team won the Carmel Sectional on Thursday in dominant fashion, beating #1 ranked Carmel by 31 points! The Royals displayed great team depth across all events, in addition to winning seven of sixteen individual titles. Nathan Schuck continued his impressive season with a new Sectional record of 15’ 1” in the pole vault. Zach Reitzug, Nate Brown, David Calhoun, and Tyler Duffy ran a courageous 4x400 to set a new Sectional record of 3:19.03. Individuals and Relays advancing to the Regional: 4x800 Relay-Michael Burkert, Kyle Knight, and Cody McConnell, 100 Meter Dash-Ryan Davis & Phoenix Badue, 110 Hurdles-Jacob Wright 1600 Meter Run Troy Reeder & Alex Zoumbaris, 4x100 Relay-Kahlid Fuller, Phoenix Badua, Cameron Polk, Deaon Smith, 400 Meter Dash-Tyler Duffy & David Calhoun, 300 Hurdles-Zach Bray, Zach Reitzug & Jacob Wright 800 Meter Run-Cody McConnell, 3200-Jack Andritsch, 4x400 Relay-Zach Reitzug, Nate Brown, David Calhoun, and Tyler Duffy, Discus-Austin Hogan, Long Jump-Taylor Christensen & Zach Reitzug, High Jump-Brendon Murray & Aaron Marshall, Pole Vault-Natan Schuck

Cross Country Call Out (First announced on May 18th, 2012)
Anyone interested in being a member of the Cross Country team next season should attend the call out meeting Wednesday Morning in the cafeteria at 7:00am.

Football physicals need turned in to ADs (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
Reminder to all football players- everyone needs to have a physical turned into athletics before they can do anything with the team this summer- time is running out get this done- Coach May

Freshman Softball Team Wins Carmel Tourney (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The freshman softball team won the Carmel Tourney on Saturday. The first game they beat Roncolli 6-3. Madison Frantz started the game pitching and had 2 strikeouts and only allowed 3 hits. Rachel Hawes had the save coming in the 5th inning and getting 5 strikeouts and allowing no hits. The offense was lead by Vicki Miller, Megan Sullivan, and Gianna Graham with 2 hits each.
The second game the Royals beat Carmel 6-2. Rachel Hawes was the winning pitcher with 8 strikeouts and only allowing 4 hits. The offense was lead by Vicki Miller with 2 hits. Carly Peterson, Madison Frantz, and Megan Sullivan each had a hit to help the offense.

Lady Royal Softball Results at the Roncalli Tournament (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The Lady Royals Varsity Softball Team lost to the Lutheran Saints 2 to 1. Talyor Shuey drove in the Royals only run with a double. Sidney Morgan hit a triple to start a rally in the 6th inning but was stranded at third. Maggie Armstrong pitched a complete game. The Lady Royals came back strong in the second game beating Decatur Central 11 to 0. Taylor Shuey was 1 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Maggie Armstrong and Natalie Heiniger both went 2 for 3 and each had a double for the Royals. Amanda Wintrow was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s and pitched a complete game shut-out only allowing 4 hits and striking out 7 batters. The Lady Royal begin Sectional play on Monday, May 21st as they take on Westfield at Cherry Tree Softball Complex in Carmel with the game starting at 5:00 pm.

Film Club film (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The Film Club will be showing their final film of the year, Christopher Nolan's "The Prestige," starring Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, today after school in the Lecture Hall.

Summer FFA (First announced on May 17th, 2012)
FFA summer event sign-ups are in room A528. Make sure you sign up. These events include, National Plow Day, Fishing Tournaments, State Fair, County Fair, Summer Challenge and more.

Thespian elections (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
Thespians: any thespian wanting to run for an office for next year, needs to see Miss Armstrong by Wednesday. There will be a thespian meeting on Friday morning to elect officers for next year.

Thespian honor cords (First announced on May 17th, 2012)
Senior thespians: if you want honor cords you need to pay $7.00 to Miss Armstrong by next Tuesday.

Dance Class Recital (First announced on May 21st, 2012)
The Dance and Choreography classes will present their final recital tonight in the Leonard Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free. Please come and support the two classes as they showcase everything they have been working on this semester!

Honor cords are in for seniors of the Spanish Honorary members who ordered them. Stop by A513 and pick them up ASAP.

Yearbook Distribution (First announced on May 16th, 2012)
Yearbook Distribution will begin Wednesday, May 23 after school outside the Leonard Auditorium from 2:55 to 4 p.m. Students will need a photo ID to pick up their books. Didn't order one? Books will be available for $65 (cash only) at distribution. Books will also be distributed during lunches Thursday, May 24 in the Leonard Auditorium lobby. Books will be available Friday, May 25 after school in A322.
