HSEHS choirs present ‘Little Bit Country, Little Bit Rock ‘n Roll’ May 10, 11

The Hamilton Southeastern High School Choral Department will present “Little Bit Country, Little Bit Rock ‘n Roll” on Thursday and Friday, May 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. in Leonard Auditorium. Each choir will take the audience down memory lane of some of the greatest country and rock ‘n roll hits with solos and specialty acts mixed in.
Among country classics will be “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Mountain Music,” “Thank God I’m a Country Boy,” “I never Promised You a Rose Garden,” “Cotton Eye Joe” and “Stand By Your Man.” Some featured rock numbers will be “I Love Rock ‘n Roll,” “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” “The Twist,” “Old Time Rock and Roll,” “Proud Mary,” “Hound Dog,” “YMCA,” “Love is a Battlefield” and more.
The show includes many new costumes, special effects and choreography and should be fun for all ages. Tickets are $7 at the door ($6 in advance), $5 for students ages 7-18, $3 for students ages 4-6 and free for children 3 and under.
