M.A.T.H. Bowl

Open to 4th grade students to show off their math and teamwork skills to compete in the district M.A.T.H. Bowl! Open to a limited number of students based on performance on a short quiz. Practices are twice a week after school during January and February. Our team works together to come up with answers in 30, 60 or 90 seconds. Calculators are allowed, and we will practice working with team members at each meeting. We will need to cover lots of math concepts, so you must be willing to learn more and work on your own at home if necessary.

For more information, please contact the school's front office at (317) 915-4260.

Science Fair: Confidence and the Thrill of Discovery

A science fair project can be exciting because it is not just practice. It involves real discovery of little known or even unknown information. The project usually is based on scientific questions or interests that the students already have, and allows them to develop the questions independently into formal, testable, solvable problems. Learning the outcome and finding the answer can be a powerful moment of discovery. It proves to students, and to others, that they were successful and that they did it on their own! The GES Science Fair is held in January and the top two winners in each grade will advance to the Regional Science Fair in March. The science fair is open to all students in grades 1-4. The Science Fair Packet is located under the documents tab on the GES Website.
