FHS teacher accepted into nanotechnology summer program
May 21st, 2012
Fishers High School science teacher Libby Thomas was selected to attend a week-long summer day camp that provides a unique opportunity for participants to explore the interdisciplinary field of nanotechnology, which is becoming an essential part of science, engineering, medicine and many other disciplines. The participants will be exposed to several different processes and systems, including cleanroom, nanoassembly, micro/nanofluidics, nanoscale measurements, and computational resources.
The intent of the program is to provide a rich experience that will contribute to their professional oundation. Participants will work daily with world-renowned faculty at the Integrated Nanotechnology Development Institute (INDI) located in the Science and the Engineering, Science and Technology Buildings on the IUPUI campus.
For more information on the Integrated Nanotechnology Development Institute and the field of nanotechnology, visit the webpage at http://www.iupui.edu/~indi. For more information, contact Thomas at 317-915-4290.
