Senior Jon Cordell received the prestigious Top 25 Academic Award in the Class of 2012 at the FHS Top 100 Banquet on Wednesday April 25th. The Top 100 Banquet honors the Top 25 GPA students from each of the 4 classes (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors). Cordell is the second Tiger to receive such an honor as a senior (2009 Alum Jacob Banitt). Cordell is a 3-year starter at 3B for the Tigers. Congratulations Jon Cordell!

Former Tiger Baseball Player and 2009 Alum Jacob Banitt has been selected to work for NASA at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. Banitt is currently a junior student at Purdue University. As a Tiger, Banitt was the starting 2B for the '09 Tigers playing in 27 games while hitting .239 with a triple and 6 RBI. Banitt also had a .955 fielding percentage making only 4 errors all season, which places him 2nd all time for the best fielding percentage in a season by a Tiger 2B, SS, or 3B. This feat helped earn him the Most Improved Player Award his senior season. Banitt also received the GPA Award for the Top Baseball GPA in the program. Congratulations, Jacob Banitt!
