College Reps at FHS

Many college reps have scheduled visits to FHS for our students.  Please utilize Naviance to sign up Contact Guidance for access information.

FOR FRESHMEN

  • Parents look for communication from your student’s counselor regarding a meeting with to discuss any questions/concerns you may have and establishing a four year plan for your student.

  • Begin using Naviance now! Check out the tutorial and get started.

FOR SOPHOMORES

  • Naviance – Naviance can be used to do your career/college planning. Check out the tutorials

  • Review your four year plan and resume on

FOR JUNIORS

  • Naviance – Naviance can be used to do your career/college planning.  If you know your email that was used to access your Naviance account, you can retrieve your password.  If you are unsure of the email, contact guidance to reset your account.

  • Check out the Tutorials on the Naviance Page

  • All juniors will take the PSAT during school on October 15th.  Student can practice for the PSAT using Naviance

  • College Board/ACT – We encourage juniors to take the SAT and/or ACT during the second half of their junior year.

  • Juniors are allowed to take one college visit day.  Parents should contact the attendance office in advance at 915-4295 to indicate that the student is going on a college visit.  Fall Break is a great time to visit colleges.  It is not necessary to wait until after the college visit to apply for admission.  We encourage students to visit colleges before senior year.

FOR SENIORS

  • Seniors are allowed to take two college visit days.  Parents should contact the attendance office in advance at 915-4295 to indicate that the student is going on a college visit.  Fall Break is a great time to visit colleges. It is not necessary to wait until after the college visit to apply for admission.  We encourage students to apply early.

  • SAT/ACT – Please make sure you have your scores sent directly to the college of your choice.

Indianapolis National College Fair

Tuesday, September 16th ~ 9 a.m. to noon and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Indiana Convention Center.  Over 150 colleges will be represented.  All students are parents are invited to attend.

Hamilton County College Fair

Wednesday, September 24th ~ 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Fishers High School in the Auxiliary Gym
