Fishers Elementary School welcomes each and every one of you to our Fishers Family! Our staff is committed to excellence in education. We set high behavioral and academic expectations. It is our mission to teach to and above the Indiana Academic Standards to lead our students to academic success. The Fishers Elementary Staff is also dedicated to our character education initiative of respect, responsibility and resourcefulness. At Fishers Elementary School, we feel it is important for the school and home to work together as a team to provide the best quality education for all of our students. We are very proud of our school for the successes that have been achieved and for providing a family atmosphere to students, parents and staff.

School is located in the heart of the town
of Fishers in Hamilton County. The town
of Fishers is one of the fastest growing
communities in the state. The town's population
has increased from 7,000 in 1989 to around
60,000 presently. Present enrollment, kindergarten
through fourth grade, is approximately

Mission Statement
Fishers Elementary is committed to the total education of children as measured by their ability to master and exceed district, state, and national standards. A system of differentiation including remediation and acceleration will be used to meet the needs of individual students.
Vision Statement
Fishers Elementary School staff, parents and community members strive to meet each student's academic, social, emotional, and physical needs in a safe and structured environment where students are respected and valued as individuals. In order to achieve their personal best, students take responsibility for their own behavior and set high expectations. Student leave Fishers Elementary prepared to meet the challenges of becoming responsible and productive citizens.
Values and Beliefs
The staff at Fishers Elementary believes every child is important. They believe that all students are in a healthy and safe environment where they are nurtured and respected. Students are involved in meaningful activities, which address their strengths and provide opportunities for growth. All students are challenged to grow academically, socially and mentally.
General Information
The school community is comprised of middle to upper-middle income families who live in homes and subdivisions close to the school. Most of the families are professionals, many with both parents working outside the home. Three apartment complexes feed into the school. New families come from all parts of the United States, bringing the school a diverse blend of ideas and experiences among students, parents, and staff.
Since 1995, Fishers Elementary has been certified as a Four Star School. The school has consistently performed in the top 11 percent of all the schools in the state on ISTEP total battery score, language arts proficiency score, and mathematics proficiency score, and attendance rate. The mean Cognitive Skills Index score is 116. Most students meet or exceed the anticipated Achievement Normal Curve Equivalent. Families in the Fishers area value education and support the school. This support allows the teachers and students to accomplish great things.
Students at Fishers Elementary have the opportunity to participate in numerous extracurricular activities. Students interested in music may join the choir. Clogging, dance, and track are options for students interested in physical fitness. For those students focusing on their academic performance we offer math bowl and spell bowl team, as well as Math Pentathlon Club. If students wish to investigate the latest technology they can join the computer club. There is also an opportunity to participate in Circle of Friends, Yearbook Club, and Student Council.
In partnership with families and the corporate community, Fishers Elementary School is dedicated to providing an encouraging, exciting, and secure atmosphere in which students achieve their personal best and become responsible, productive, and respectful citizens so they may contribute to and succeed in our 21st century world.
