CRE teacher receives $1,000 grant for school
April 12th, 2012
Cumberland Road Elementary teacher Deb Carrell won a grant for $1,000 from Young Audiences Arts for Learning Integration in honor of its 50th anniversary. The school will use it to fund a book illustrator next fall to help first graders make books for their earthworm unit. For more information, contact Carrell at 317-594-4170.
I received notice over spring break that Riverside Junior High has been awarded the Healthier US School Challenge (HUSSC), GOLD rating. We are currently the ONLY school in Indiana to qualify for this prestigous award. Beth Foland, Team Nutrition for Indiana, sent me this link to a sample press release we can use. I am including the link below. The press release gives some very good background info on the HUSSC. Let me know if you need any more information.
