I Love to Read honors SCI fifth grader in ceremony
May 10th, 2012
The I Love to Read program recently honored Sand Creek Elementary fifth grader Michael Ogawa in a ceremony at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Indiana First Lady Cheri Daniels attended as a special guest. The awards ceremony was hosted by WISH-TV anchors Debby Know and Eric Halvorson.
Students in Grades 4-8 who read at least 2,500 total minutes during a given period met the “Challenge” and were eligible for the grand prize drawing for individual achievement. One student per grade of all participating schools was chosen by random drawing to win a $1,000 savings bond.
