2013 - 2014 Kindergarten Information

Kindergarten Round-up is April 18 at each elementary school from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Kindergarten packets will be available for parents to pick up on March 11th between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Parents will need to bring proof of residency, child’s birth certificate and immunization records in order to receive a packet.

HSE will offer half-day and full-day Kindergarten options for families during the 2013-14 school year. Parents must complete a portion of the registration on-line selecting their choice of full or half day.

There is no cost for full-day Kindergarten other than textbook rental fees and lunch fees (if students eat a school lunch).

Half-day Kindergarten will more than likely be held in centralized locations like it was this year.

No locations for the 2013-14 half day Kindergarten program have been decided yet and will be determined based on enrollment and space available. Information will be shared promptly once this decision is made.

The half-day and full-day Kindergarten curriculum will cover the same standards but there will be more time in the full day program to explore the K standards in more depth. Sample schedules of both full and half day will be available with the application.
