In 2001 the Hamilton Southeastern Schools
Foundation (HSSF) was formed to benefit all
schools in the Hamilton Southeastern Schools
district by providing student scholarships
and teacher grants. As HSSF celebrates its
tenth anniversary it is gratifying to reflect
on the rapid growth that has impacted our school
system and our ability to support our students
and the teachers who inspire them. Through
numerous fund-raising activities, the Foundation
has awarded over $662,445 in scholarships
and over $255,093 in teacher grants since its
inception.

Please join the Hamilton Southeastern
Schools Foundation in celebrating our 10 year anniversary by joining
the 10 for 10 campaign.
We are asking each HSE household to donate $10 or more to the campaign.
With over 18,000 students enrolled, that would increase our funding base
by nearly $180,000! These funds are then invested into our district through
school grants and student scholarships. Since our inception, HSSF has
provided $255,093 in grants and $662,445 in scholarships. Honor the past
and become part of the future with your gift today! |

FITNESSGRAM
Beginning fall of 2011, Hamilton Southeastern schools launched the Fitnessgram
initiative for grades 3-8. Fitnessgram is a fitness assessment and reporting
program designed by the Cooper Institute that personalizes wellness education
for our students. This comprehensive program supports the district’s current
Wellness/Physical Education curriculum by promoting sustainable, healthy
life-style choices. Fitness reports will be sent home each 9 weeks for parents
to review and discuss with students. Eight schools are piloting the program,
which will be made available to the remaining elementary, intermediate, and
junior high schools by 2013. Fitnessgram has been made possible by a substantial
grant from the Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation (HSSF) in partnership
with the Geist Half Marathon/5K. For more information visit

new facility close to our district and will
provide a percentage of the purchases made
by our families to the HSE Schools Foundation.
For this to happen, families sign up for a
free membership card that can be swiped at
checkout to track purchases and figure dollars
to be contributed to the Foundation.
For more information and a sign-up form,

form in an envelope to Gordon Food Service,
